Dustin C. Jones grew up in the Smithfield, Virginia area, the Ham Capital of the World. Dustin earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religion from Liberty University (Lynchburg, Virginia). Dustin next earned his Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary (Dallas, Texas). Dustin then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.

Upon graduating law school, Dustin served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Erik J. Askegaard at the Crow Wing County Judicial Center (Brainerd, MN). After clerking on the state district court level, Dustin practiced law in the areas of personal injury and property damage (plaintiff side and insurance defense), general civil litigation, business litigation, criminal litigation (both as a Minnesota Assistant Public Defender and then as an Assistant Isanti County Attorney), and creditor and consumer rights law.

Dustin joined Fields Law Firm with a passion to provide compassionate and knowledgeable advocacy and counsel for people going through some of the most difficult times in their lives. He enjoys simplifying complex legal concepts for his clients and providing them with sound legal advice as to their options to achieve their personal objectives in their cases. He practices in the firm’s Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation and Long Term Disability practice groups. He brings an advantageous and diverse set of legal experiences to aid his clients, with experiences derived from practicing in both state and federal courts and from representing plaintiffs and defendants.

Mr. Jones is admitted to practice law in Minnesota state courts and the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. He is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Ramsey County Bar Association, and the Minnesota Association for Justice.

Dustin lives in the North Metro of the Twin Cities with his wife and two daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, collecting and listening to vinyl records, reading and studying Philosophy (History of Philosophy from Ancient to Modern, with a focus on 18th and 19th-Century German Philosophy), collecting postage stamps (domestic and foreign), biking and hiking Minnesota’s state parks, and spending time up north around Lake Superior.
