Joseph McCartin loves his job fighting for working people and is a tireless advocate for the injured and disabled. Joe understands how devastating an injury can be and how overwhelming the legal system can feel. He takes the time to clearly explain your rights and the complex legal process, so that you feel empowered to make the right decisions on your case.
While in college, Joe worked as a construction worker, and eventually became a journeyman pipefitter in Local 597. He then went on to fight for the rights of health care workers as a union organizer and spent seven years representing union construction workers on Capitol Hill. Throughout those years, Joe stood up to insurance companies on behalf of working people.
Joe earned his bachelor’s degree in economics at Middlebury College and his law degree at the University of Minnesota, where he was a Managing Editor of the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology. He is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Minnesota and is a member of the Minnesota Association for Justice, Minnesota State Bar Association, and Hennepin County Bar Association.
When not working, Joe can usually be found outdoors with his family. He is a member of a variety of habitat groups and volunteers with Twin Cities Trout Unlimited.
