Kristine McLean grew up in Eagan, Minnesota. Kristine graduated cum laude from Gustavus Adolphus College. She went on to earn her law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, graduating on the Dean’s List. She was recognized at her graduation ceremony for completing over 200 volunteer hours through the Minnesota Justice Program.
Kristine is dedicated to assisting individuals facing challenging legal situations. Kristine understands the importance of having an accessible and compassionate legal advocate. While in law school, Kristine worked as a student attorney in the Dakota County Attorney’s Office. As a student attorney, Kristine appeared in the courtroom regularly on felony level cases. Kristine observed first-hand the need for persons facing overwhelming legal situations to have effective counsel.
After graduating from law school, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Kevin Siefken in Austin, Minnesota. Kristine later served as an Assistant County Attorney in the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office where she handled guardianship, conservatorship, and mental health commitment cases.
Ms. McLean is admitted to practice in the United States District Court of Minnesota and Minnesota State Courts.
In her free time, Kristine enjoys spending time with her family, going shark fishing with her brother in Pensacola, Florida, reading history books, and running.
