Pounnaphone Phomtalikhith

Pounnaphone Phomtalikhith was born in Laos and grew up in the Twin Cities. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. Cloud State University. She then earned her Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law.

Pounnaphone began her legal career in New York City, where she represented survivors of domestic abuse and human trafficking in immigration matters and the City University of New York in unemployment insurance hearings. Prior to joining Fields Law Firm, she was a Supervising Attorney at non-profit law firm, where she represented clients in housing matters including evictions, subsidized housing issues, expungements, and housing discrimination.

Pounnaphone is passionate about protecting the rights of everyday, hardworking individuals and reaching the best resolutions for her clients.

Ms. Phomtalikhith is admitted to practice in New York and Minnesota State Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. She is a member of the Minnesota Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, Minnesota Women Lawyers, Minnesota Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and Federal Bar Association.

Pounnaphone is an active volunteer in the Twin Cities and focuses her service on the advancement of women and children from marginalized communities. She is a member of the Junior League of Minneapolis, previously serving as its Executive Vice President, and formerly a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters.

In her spare time, Pounnaphone enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, trying new restaurants, and hosting family and friends for dinners and game nights.
