How can our Social Security attorneys increase your chances of getting approved for disability benefits?

No matter where you are in the claims process, it’s our goal to help you get the benefits you need.

It costs nothing to get answers to your questions –

Our Social Security Disability Lawyers Can Help You:

1. Determine if You’re Eligible for Disability Benefits
Our legal professionals can review your work and medical histories to help determine whether or not you’re eligible to receive Social Security Disability benefits.

2. File Your Social Security Disability Application
Our disability team can assist you with completing your application. We can help clarify the questions being asked and help structure your answers. An Application for Disability Insurance Benefits can be completed online and electronically submitted to your local Social Security office.

After assisting with the Disability Application, a disability attorney can help you complete the Disability Appeal. This is also online and can take hours to complete. This is because it requests detailed information about every job you have had in the 15 years before you became disabled, and detailed information about the medical providers you have treated with for your conditions, and the treatments received. A disability attorney can help you gather this information and properly enter it into the online Disability Application.

At the end of the Disability Application, your disability attorney will obtain a Print Cover Sheet to mail to your local Social Security office with any evidence. Typically, if you have any helpful medical records to show that you are disabled under Social Security’s strict rules, your attorney will supply these as evidence.

3. Gathering Medical Records
At the application level, a disability attorney will communicate to Social Security all of the locations where you have treated so that Social Security can obtain your medical records.

4. Supplying Evidence
A disability attorney will obtain all medical evidence and supply it to the disability examiner who is evaluating your case. During an appeal, a disability attorney can submit this evidence electronically by scanning it and submitting it over the Internet if the attorney has the correct program.

5. Appeal your Disability Claim
A denial by the Social Security Administration doesn’t mean you aren’t owed Social Security Disability benefits. There are several appeal stages if your Disability Application is denied. A disability attorney can assist you with each of these appeal stages. We’ll help you file a strong appeal so you have the best possible chance of getting your claim approved.

6. Request for Reconsideration
This is the first appeal. A disability attorney can file this electronically as well as complete an online form entitled “Disability Report – Appeal.” This form is similar to the Disability Application, but asks if anything has changed since that report was submitted.

7. Hearing
If your Request for Reconsideration is denied, your disability attorney can file the second appeal, which is a Request for Hearing. Your attorney will obtain any additional evidence and submit it prior to the Hearing. At the Hearing, your disability attorney will appear with you, take your testimony, and make legal arguments.

Trying to get the disability benefits you need can be a frustrating experience, but you’re not alone. We understand what you’re going through, and we’re here to help you – no matter where you are in the process. If you have questions about getting Social Security Disability benefits, we have answers.
