A sourcing analyst in Indiana applied for Long Term Disability benefits after stopping work due to serious health conditions, including a stroke, congestive heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, and vocal paralysis. Symetra Insurance Company denied the claim, asserting that full-time work in the regular occupation remained possible.

Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy
An occupational therapist in Indiana developed significant symptoms, including low back pain, chronic radiculopathy, chronic insomnia, chronic migraines, and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy. A Long Term Disability claim through Cigna was approved, and benefits were paid for more than two years.
