Caitlin Mohamed grew up in Anoka, Minnesota. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Caitlin obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, in addition to a certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Mitchell Hamline Dispute Resolution Institute and Global Arbitration Certificate from Queen Mary University of London. Caitlin was also a multi-year recipient of the Benjamin B. Ferencz Fellowship in Human Rights and Law.

After law school, Caitlin clerked for the Honorable Judge Christian Sande in Hennepin County District Court. After her clerkship, Caitlin represented criminal clients as a public defender, represented the State of Minnesota as an Assistant Attorney General, and prosecuted felony level offenses as an Assistant Hennepin County Attorney. Caitlin also practiced family and criminal law privately and is a certified mediator and family mediator.

Caitlin has extensive experience as both a litigator and a mediator, having made numerous appearances at a variety of hearings and trials and serving as mediator in family and civil cases. Caitlin understands how to advocate effectively for you, how to support you as you navigate the legal system and how to make the process more accessible by actively listening and explaining legal concepts in simple and understandable terms. Caitlin genuinely enjoys working with you and for you to ensure that you feel cared for and confident throughout the process and that you receive the best outcome for your case.

Ms. Mohamed is admitted to practice in the Minnesota State Courts and the United States District Courts for the District of Minnesota. She is a member of the Minnesota Bar Association, Hennepin County Bar Association, Minnesota Women Lawyers, Minnesota Asian Pacific Bar Association, and Federal Bar Association.

When Caitlin is not working, she enjoys staying active, reading, traveling, trying new restaurants and recipes at home, binge watching historical dramas, real crime shows and (shamefully) the 90 Day Fiancé TV series. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and their beloved and spoiled dog, who occupies most of the photo space in their phones.
