$105,000 – Donald – Eden Prairie, Minnesota
A 60-year-old stroke survivor who lived in an assisted living facility suffered a hip fracture when he fell on the doorstep of his residence. The facilities staff knew or should have known he would be exiting the residence when he did, and because he was a known “fall risk,” they should have been escorting him. The facility tried to push back saying he wasn’t a fall risk and said staff members advised he was quite independent.
After he hired Fields Law, the team obtained copies of facility records, which had several notations showing he was clearly a fall risk. When the facility refused to take responsibility, the Fields team presented the claim with an analysis of the records showing “fall risk”; the attorney aggressively worked with and eventually led the facility into a significant settlement for our client, who now has the fiscal support necessary to move forward in his life.

A marketing specialist from Montrose, Minnesota was a passenger in a vehicle that was t-boned at an intersection in Plymouth, MN.
